MenoHealth AI Disclaimer
Effective Date: October 30, 2026 | Version: 0.0.2
This AI Disclaimer explains how MenoHealth, Inc. ("MenoHealth," "we," "us") uses artificial intelligence in the MenoHealth app and on menohealth.ai, what our AI assistant does and does not do, and the choices you have about the information you share with it. It is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. You Are Talking to an AI
MenoAI is an artificial intelligence assistant, not a person. It is not a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or other licensed health professional, and it does not hold or claim any clinical title or credential. Every MenoAI conversation is labeled as AI-generated. Responses from MenoAI are produced automatically by computer software and are not written or reviewed in advance by a clinician.
2. What MenoAI Does
MenoAI is an educational and wellness tool. It can explain general, publicly available information about perimenopause and menopause, with citations to the medical sources it relies on. It can help you understand trends in the symptoms, MenoScore, pattern insights, and wearable data you have logged in the app. When you mention a symptom you already track, MenoAI may record it in your symptom log, and it will ask before adding a new symptom category. It can also help you prepare questions to bring to a clinician.
MenoAI is built by MenoHealth and runs on large language models provided by OpenAI and Anthropic.
3. What MenoAI Does Not Do
MenoAI does not practice medicine. It does not diagnose any disease or condition, determine whether your symptoms are caused by menopause or anything else, recommend, start, change, or stop any medication or hormone therapy, provide dosing information for your situation, or create a treatment plan. MenoAI does not decide whether you receive care or a prescription and plays no part in a clinician's evaluation of you.
If you ask MenoAI a question that requires medical judgment, it will decline to answer and will direct you to a licensed clinician.
4. Medical Care Comes From Licensed Clinicians
Telehealth consultations offered through the MenoHealth app are provided by independent, licensed clinicians of MDI Medical Group PC. Only those clinicians diagnose and treat, and every treatment decision is theirs alone, made in the exercise of their independent medical judgment. A message from your clinician is written by your clinician, not generated by MenoAI.
MenoAI is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional with any question about a medical condition, and never disregard or delay seeking medical advice because of something MenoAI said.
5. How to Reach a Person
You can reach a human at any time. To speak with a licensed clinician, book a telehealth consultation in the MenoHealth app. For questions about your account, the app, or this Disclaimer, contact MenoHealth support at support@menohealth.ai or through menohealth.ai/support.
6. Emergencies
MenoAI cannot respond to emergencies. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, such as chest pain, heavy or prolonged bleeding, trouble breathing, or signs of stroke, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you describe an emergency to MenoAI, it will direct you to these resources.
7. Accuracy and Limitations
AI can make mistakes. MenoAI may produce information that is incomplete, out of date, or wrong, even when it cites a source. Pattern insights and correlations in the app describe your own logged data and do not show that one thing causes another. Use MenoAI's responses as general information only, and confirm anything important with a licensed clinician.
8. Your Information and Your Choices
MenoAI can use the information you enter in your conversations and the health data you have logged in the app in order to respond to you. MenoAI does not have access to your clinical records, consultation notes, prescriptions, or pharmacy information, which are held by MDI Medical Group PC and Honeybee Health.
Your conversations are processed by OpenAI and Anthropic only to generate responses. Under our agreements with them, they do not keep your conversations after responding and do not use them to train their models. To monitor quality and safety, MenoHealth keeps a record of conversations with your direct identifiers removed.
You are in control of your information. MenoAI memory is off by default, is not required to use the app, and can be turned on or off at any time. You can view and erase every memory MenoAI has saved. You can decline any suggestion to add an entry to your symptom log, and you can delete symptom log entries, memories, or your entire account in the app. To request deletion of individual conversations or a copy of your health data, email privacy@menohealth.ai. You can withdraw your consent in Settings. Our Privacy Policy and Health Data Disclosures describe these rights in full, including additional rights that may apply under the laws of your state.
9. AI in Our Content
MenoHealth uses AI tools to help draft some educational articles, marketing materials, and other content. That content is reviewed by MenoHealth staff before publication, and health content is medically reviewed by our clinical team. Educational content is not medical advice.
10. State-Specific Notices
Some states require specific disclosures about the use of AI in health-related communications. In accordance with California Health and Safety Code § 1339.75 and similar laws, AI-generated communications in the MenoHealth app identify themselves as generated by AI and explain how to reach a human. Consistent with California law and the laws of other states, MenoAI does not use any term, title, or design that implies it is a licensed health professional.
11. Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this AI Disclaimer from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the Effective Date above. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email.
